Sequence supports Childhood Cancer Awareness Month for CLIC Sargent

National estate agency network Sequence is proud to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) this September, as part of its partnership with CLIC Sargent - the UK’s leading charity for young cancer patients and their families.  Sequence has been supporting CLIC Sargent as its chosen charity since 2001 and looks forward to a month of fundraising and hopes to smash its total of over £4,500 raised for the cause last September.

During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month last year, Sequence staff from around the UK raised money in a number of ways, including:  a team taking part in the Great North Run, bake sales, auctioning a signed Crystal Palace football shirt and through donations from staff at Sequence’s annual company ball.

“We have been supporting CLIC Sargent for more than 16 years now and all the branches in our network enjoy doing what we can every September to raise money, however much or little, for such a great cause,” says David Plumtree, Group Estate Agency Chief Executive.  “We want to not only raise funds for those affected by cancer but to help raise awareness of the struggles caused by cancer for young people and the financial impact that this has on their families.  Our network raised a record amount of money for the cause last year, and we hope to replicate that success this year and continue making such a difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer and their families.“

Emma Taylor, Fundraising Engagement Manager at CLIC Sargent comments:  “Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a brilliant way to get involved in raising funds for children and young people with cancer. It is a global campaign taking place across the whole month of September. This year, CLIC Sargent is focusing specifically on the emotional and mental health impact on the whole family, when the doctor says “cancer”.  We are raising awareness about the issue, the support CLIC Sargent offers to help them cope, and the importance of seeking support.  We are encouraging people to get involved in the campaign in whatever way possible – be it buying one of our gold ribbon badges or organising a bake sale - we are encouraging everyone to support us during this important month.

“We are continually grateful to Sequence employees and all that they do to support young cancer patients- thank you very much. Last year’s CCAM was a great success, so let’s see if we can do even better this year! Good luck and enjoy!” concludes Emma.

When cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health.
